| The Caldera-E collar stacks onto the modular Caldera or Caldera-S, adding 6 3/4” of height to the kiln. The Caldera-E collar has a 7½” x 4” door on the side for copper enameling. Now you can explore the exciting art of copper enameling without having to buy an enameling kiln.
The collar has no heating elements. Nevertheless, the Caldera and Caldera-S, even with a collar, still fire to 1800°F (982°C). The Caldera-E collar is made of 2 ½” thick hand-selected insulating refractory firebricks. The firebricks, wrapped in heavy-gauge stainless steel, store heat for minimal heat loss after opening the door to remove a copper piece. The collar includes case tighteners for easy maintenance. |
